I have a 12 yr old who has an IEP. The person doing the vouchers recertification for me sent me a form to fill out so he doesn't get kicked off when he turns 13. My son is not really SN, he's an average child with some big challenges who has an IEP. Is it for me or only for SN kids? Does anyone know more about it?

As long as your child has an iep they're eligible. Recieving boe services mandated on an iep means child has a sn that needs services for.
Bh. I got on but my school took care of it so I don't know process. Wasn't part of my voucher application

It's only for those with special needs. The Office of Children and Family services does not pay for after school care (which is what vouchers actually pays for, how they apply it I don't want to know) once a child is a teen at 13 and can be home by themselves until their parents come home from work.
If they do apply for this special needs services, they will need to file an official DSM-5 diagnosis which will stay with him.

Thank you for pointing this out. Can you explain this more? What exactly are the consequences of this staying with him?

Is the child you're referring to over age 13?

Aby child with an iep recieving boe services officially is special needs! There is no difference if you get ot and pt or speech and setts or a health Para you can still get acs voucher if passes approval. There are different diagnosis for boe but any child with iep has a diagnosis on iep
