I thought so too. I believed she left because her contract was ending and she want to pursue other things. Im really questioning that now. I think if she had left amicably she would have congratulated her friend/producer for taking over the show. As I wrote previously in this thread, I think she was negotiating a new contract and things went sour.

I feel like holding a non jew to this standard doesn't make sense.

Brett was friends with Candace before. Im not sure the fact that Candace hates Israel is really a reason for a non jew to cut ties. It makes sense for Ben to cut ties but why would Brett cut off her friend because of a country across the world that she doesn't care about one way or another.

If your friend said she doesn't care about Rwanda or their suffering you might think she's not so nice for saying that but would you really not be her friend over it?

Yes of course Candace is a rabid anti semite. But Brett never said anything about Israel so her friendship with Candace is the only reason to dislike her at the moment.

My point is that for someone completely indifferent to Israel, it may not be a deal breaker and while I find that disappointing, I'm not sure it makes her antisemitic.

I guess I feel like until she actively hates on Jews or Israel, I'm not holding it against her. My standards aren't high enough for non jews.

I'm so disturbed to learn all this about Brett and I'm scared for the future of the DW and what it means for us Jews. I did hear R' Tuvia Singer speaking on R' Orlofsky's podcast last week about how most of Ben Shapiro's followers are Evangelicals, who are staunch supporters of Israel. Let's hope this is true.
