What is your policy around stuff that people leave behind?
This is a very frustrating part of hosting for me.
People leaving things in my house that I find and people messaging me asking to look out for things that they left behind here.
Today I got my 6th message from my last guest asking about something they left (6 different things).
Some of these things I'll bet got thrown out by myself or my kids or my cleaning lady.
I keep saying, if it turns up I'll tell you but I'm finding it really annoying.
Am I obnoxious to be annoyed? What would you do? What do you do?

I try and do a quick look around before they go. If I find something shortly after they left, then I'll let them know. I also think it depends what the item is. If they left some diapers, it's not such a big deal, but if it's something expensive or something they really need like the favorite teddy, then I will be more lenient.
Most guests I have had are quite careful about not leaving things behind.

That sounds really frustrating. I think it’s fine to say if it turns up I’ll let you know but not to go crazy looking for it. (Unless it’s something especially important/valuable then it would be nice to be on the lookout for it (and to tell your cleaning lady).
