unless you know the Morah is looking for a chatchka, don't give one and only give her one she wants not something you are regifting.

I would like a $5 bill better then a chocolate, but I would take the chocolate very happily.

A chocolate bar would be fine, but if there are 10 kids (or more!!!) I don’t want 10 chocolate bars (or more!!!!)
A note is just fine. If you REALLY want to give me something, I would rather a little chachka rather than anything else.

Mothers all think "I'm so embarrassed to only give $5".
But the reality is. Is 10 kids each give a chocolate bar, I have a stomach ache. If 10 kids each give a $5 bill, I have $50 and can buy something nice or respectable.
Plus don't be embarrassed about the $5.

Oh this is a nice idea, I didn’t think of it that way.

Usually I wouldn’t, but the main Morah has been out a lot this year for various family obligations, and my toddler loves the subs so I feel like maybe I should give them something.

Either homemade goodies that I can share with my family, or something like a chocolate bar that I can pass on to my children teachers.

I once got a note with $5. I felt horrible.
My thought was that the family must be really struggling, and I felt so bad. A note would have been more than enough.
If you want to give something a bit more, I vote for the note with chocolate. Can’t ever have too much chocolate Smile
