I have a lot of people to tip this year and we are very tight on finances, $10 a morah will be a stretch. I am thinking of including a (homemade) baked good with the small tip and a note. Weird or nice? Thanks for your opinion!

the thought and heart is what counts and it sounds like you really have the combination!
your are struggling finacially and thinking about how to gift the morah because you really want to show your appreciation!

dont even explain yourself for not giving a tip just hand it over with a smile

When I worked in a playgroup people did that for chanuka. Not for a school morah though. Teachers appreciate a card no matter what comes with it.

I've been working in a daycare for a couple years now and any gift the parents give is greatly appreciated. I personally wouldn't eat homemade baked goods but I know many Morahs would.
Instead of giving cash I would get one of those fancy donuts or a nice pastry with with a note.
Hatzlacha!

See as a teacher I'd always have appreciated the $5 more but I see that there are many different opinions...so hard to know the right call.

Thanks all for sharing your thoughts!!
