I always wonder how people afford their lives and if the answer is more nissim or more debt (or both could be true too...) So let's do a poll! With brachos for parnassah b'revach for us all!

We do have credit card debt but only because we lived on it when my husband was unemployed.

Kosher Money just did a survey on this topic; you should be able to find the results online.

You're missing some options. Student loans, combination...

We have a combination of student loans, credit card debt, and owe tuition. But we have a plan how to pay it all up.

We spend more than we make each month and supplement with dwindling savings. We do not have debt but I fear we will if my husband doesn’t get a better paying job soon.

Right I think I would put student loans in the same category as a mortgage or car loan because that can be good or okay debt

We're in between the we are comfortable and tight category. We were bh comfortable till recently, but with inflation and the economy we are getting tighter and tighter each month. Less work and more expenses Sad

I don't know how to respond to this poll. We never put more than 2k on cc. We pay all our ccs in full every month. My dh's company uses our personal ccs to make large purchases. They are pretty good about paying it on time and we get the cc points. At any given time they can have as much as 40k on my dh cc. For me it's a little nerve wracking because at the end of the day the debt is in dh name. Dh trusts his employer but you never know. We are doing well bh and can afford to cover the debt in case it does happen but hopefully we won't have to. I always remind dh not to lend people money he cannot afford to lose.

I didn't know how to vote.
The answer is NO, but we're not comfortable (as a euphemism for rich, wealthy) and we're also not tight with paying our bills. We pay our bills each month with a bit leftover which goes into savings for big expenses such as simchos, camp, car repairs, etc. But we live frugally (hand-me-downs, check food prices, plain simchos, old car, no meat except chagim and even then not all meals, etc.) so I wouldn't call us comfortable.

I chose other. We have 30k in debt to family but we have more than that in stocks and could pay it off if we don't get the money in other ways. I hope to pay it off over the next few years as income goes up. It is debt from monthly expenses being higher than income.

Your family is doing a really nice mitzvah. Essentially all the money you are making on the stocks is being donated to you by your family members who lent you money interest free to then have you turn around and invest and make money off it.

I can select more than one option..
I selected debt to private and gemachim but we also hav cc debt of over 100k
While we have all this debt, people think we are comfortable and we were even denied coverage from fertility organizations
