Master bedroom Linen poll

Curious to hear other people's opinion on master bedroom linen.

Would you rather spend $600-$700 on a very good quality 300-400 thread count cotton sateen European linen set (2 beds)

Or

Rather spend around $300-$400 for a decent quality 300-400 thread count cotton sateen set that was manufactured in china (also 2 beds)

The designs are more or less the same.

Theres something in between cheap Chinese and expensive European.
Btw jewish stores are mostly not expensive European just expensive jewish manufactured

Youll never find me spending that much on linen for myself.

Where do I find the in between sets? And would you know where they get manufactured?

My current set I have for around 3 years. I know it was manufactured in china, and its holding up pretty nicely. I'm looking for a new set because the top of it isn't cotton and its not as comfortable as 100% cotton sateen

Honestly I would never pay that much for linen, especially cheaper made in china linen.

I buy beautiful duvets on sale and cheap sheet sets from walmart and they feel wonderful.

Honestly, there should be a middle. Closeout connection has reasonably priced Duvets.
I have also found H&M is good quality and Ikea.

That's not true. My almost 15 year old expensive linen sets are in great condition. The cheaper sets have to be replaced every couple of years.
The cheaper sets also crease terribly.

Pottery barn sets are above 500 for 2 duvets and 4 pillowcases. That's without the fitted sheets I get in the Jewish stores. How's that cheaper?

I dont like the feel of regular cotton sets. Its too scratchy. I need the smoothness of sateen

My mil has ikea sets. Very rough. I can never sleep well in them. I dont think I've tried h&m, but im assuming it's the same idea.

I didnt like closeout connections designs that much

If I have the $700 I'd spend it on 2 sets. I like to alternate between 2 or even 3 sets if I have. I only have 2. Change sets every 2-3 months.
