is it dangerous to give baby fish sticks under a year old? tried giving twice and she got a red splotch on her cheek.

Some have a minhag not to give (kabala) under a year due to sakana. So we dont give fish sticks under a yr even though it prob doesnt have the outright medical issues like choking on bones.
..red cheeks maybe was an allergic reaction which wouldn't make a difif baby is 11 or 12 months old would still be an issue

I give fish starting at 6 months. No it's not dangerous but perhaps your child is allergic.

It’s not dangerous for a baby. Many babies have starting at 6 months. But if your baby had red splotches you must discuss it with your doctor and not give it again without an allergy plan.

It's not dangerous for a regular baby, but it's very likely your baby is allergic.

Nowadays doctors recommend to give babies all food right away. But could be your baby has a reaction.

Mine loved salmon, BUT if she cried in her crib at night after eating salmon, she vomited. Did not vomit after eating chicken or anything else, just the salmon. I quickly learned to give it to her lunchtime.

Fish sticks are pretty unhealthy. Could be she is reacting to the junk oil it's made with. I would introduce her to straight up fish and watch her carefully to see how she does.
