I thought so. My mom has sets from Walmart, but they're not cotton so they're not as light and airy as cotton sets.

I would buy off Amazon, which does have sateen. Or from Kohls. And yes, they last me awhile. I can't stand having expensive sheets on my bed. There's this constant paranoia- what if I get something on it? Can I not eat in bed if I need to (not feeling well, for example)? I'd rather have a set that feels nice enough but I don't need to worry about.

Where do I find the in between sets? And would you know where they get manufactured?

My current set I have for around 3 years. I know it was manufactured in china, and its holding up pretty nicely. I'm looking for a new set because the top of it isn't cotton and its not as comfortable as 100% cotton sateen

I buy cotton sateen for under $300 at Drose.
The $750 sets shred quickly and terribly.

Yes. In Brooklyn, NY. 1315 47th St. Small messy shop. All fabric samples are stacked together, folded neat pillowcases, and you have to feel to find the sateen. I always find a print I like even if it takes time. (When you walk in you don't think you'll find but you inevitably find something beautiful.)

I never spent that much on linen.
My linens are from closeout connection/ target/walmart/Amazon.

I feel like the linen that's expensive is a bit of a mishigas. Like the princess and the pea.

I'm not sure its a mishigas, I can't sleep well on scratchy sets. Maybe I'm just an ultra comfortable person.

I happen to hate sateen so I wouldn't buy either one. I'm a cotton percale or cotton flannel girl, depending on the season.

Neither. I would buy 100% cotton sheets from Amazon. About $160 for 2 beds per set that I've found.

I wouldn't rather either of them. I buy from ikea or tj max or similar stores. 100% cotton, duvet cover and pillow cases. Looks great on my beds. Never understood expensive linen. I have about 5 sets and this way when I change my sheets each week I can change it up and have something new.
