Do you give the hep A? Why or why not? Doesn't seem to be a threat, but neither did measles until there was an outbreak.

Not to babies. I would consider giving to teens maybe. The difference between measles & hep A is in the means of transmission.
Eta I confused with Hep B.

I do. Because you never know if someone in the daycare is being sloppier about washing hands or something, or if there's exposure from somebody else.
It's passed on through being exposed to poop from an infected person. And I don't know how everyone I'm exposed to is washing hands.

Yes I do, because it’s on the vaccine schedule and I follow my doctor’s advice. I am not a medical professional and I do not believe my doctor is a greedy monster out to get my last dollar. So to me, that is my hishtadlus for my kids’ health.

Its one of the last ones my doctor recommends, so by the time I would give it, they're passed toilet training and so that doesn't apply.
My doctor is more nonchalant about it, he questions if I want to give it. So I feel like I can make my own decision. If he would recommend it, I would definitely follow his recommendation.
Some vaccines I really don't believe in, but I give them because they're necessary for school. Hep A is not, so most of my kids didn't get it but now I'm second guessing myself.

Totally. Chasdei Hashem Yom Yom my sibs and I survived a menu of illnesses--we were born a long time ago in a developing nation and many vaccines either didn't exist or wren't available to is--and some of us were left with permanent physical damage. So we believe in vaccines 100% and are very makpid to follow the recommended schedules.

My ped recommended I give it to my 5 year old (he's very behind in vaccines) since little boys are not the cleanest people and who knows what goes on in the school bathrooms. I know my son refuses to go at school cause it's gross. Ped says he sees a lot of hep A going around in that age group.
