I am familiar with the website. My husband uses it to get gigs as an entertainer. What’s your question?

Are a lot Jews on it? I’ve never put my services out there for the world at large and not sure how I feel about it.

Is the site legit?

There are a good number of Jews on it. There are often gigs in Lakewood, Monsey and South Florida. You can tell from the names if it’s a frum person requesting a service. It’s a legitimate website. My husband has gottten upwards of 50 gigs through the bark but he works outside the Jewish community as well.

Interesting! When I googled about it a lot of “it’s a scam” came up.

I Dont fully understand how it works. How does it work with buying points? Is it really worth it? Is it an expensive way to get leads or it really pays itself out in the end?

Does the person who needs the service get to choose me or their names are sent to me and I choose to contact them? Does a person who need the service also pay or it’s only me the vendor who hast to pay?

Look at it firstly as advertising. Once you create a page on their website, you’ll come up in google searches from their SEO.
I would suggest investing $100 - $200 to start and then being very selective about which leads you spend money on. It costs you a certain number of credits to contact someone looking for a service. They pay nothing.
They can also select to contact you, but it still costs you money if you agree to connect.
If you spend $10 for a good lead and book it for upwards of $500, you already have made back your initial investment +.
It takes some time to learn which are good leads versus junk ones.
If you feel like the person put inaccurate information, you can request to get your credits back.

Interesting.

Any tips on knowing what “good lead” is vs a junk one?

They pay me privately or thru bark? Bark just connects us and then we are on our own?

How much is a credit? 1 credit= $1?

And why are some leads worth more credits then others?

I so appreciate all your knowledge!

A bad lead would be when someone is just fishing for information to see how much you charge with no interest in actually hiring you. A bad lead could also be incorrect contact information. It takes a few months of using the platform to really get the hang of things.

Give or take depending if you buy a bundle of credits on sale.

And why are some leads worth more credits than others?
A corporate lead costs more than a child’s birthday party because they will probably have a larger budget.

I so appreciate all your knowledge!

I dunno if you mean to write anything in your last post but I don’t see any writing.

Thanks for all the info!

Anyone else know of anyone uses bark?
