I make 2 layers cake and usually do whip between the layers and as icing. My child, whose birthday it’s for, doesn’t like the whip. I was thinking what else to do and came up to maybe make an instant chocolate pudding mix and let it gel up and put that between the cakes. Anyone know if it would work? Be too runny?

That may not hold up well. Can you mix the pudding with the whip?

Use frosting instead of whip.
Or make a glaze
or melt chocolate and add coffee creamer until thick

I do this all the time. Just put less liquid than it's called for so it's thicker.
So much better than whip!

Can do ganache. Or a parve buttercream frosting. Or cocowhip.
