How many months is normal for physical therapy?

Dd 14 broke her foot with multiple bones impacted. She’s been going to PT for 4 months and the PT said last session she may need a year!!! I was shocked that it could take that long and not sure if she knows what she’s talking about… any Imas or PTs know how long typical PT should be for a foot injury?

As long as she is making progress and feeling more movement and less pain. Go back to an orthopedic (not the same one you used ) Make sure her bones healed in the right position.
