I would like something for her but she just got married so there’s not much she’s missing. Trying to think of what. She has a throw blanket. They live in a tiny apartment so don’t want to get something that takes up room

Wow how nice of you!! My mother in law never thought of gifting me anything for Chanuka in over 2 decades so this warms my heart...
Maybe a bathrobe? Cozy slippers/socks, towel sets, soap/lotions, scented candles..

These are all household items. Personally, this kind of gift makes me feel so overlooked. It’s not for ME.

Loving the Sephora/Ulta gift card ideas, slippers, gift card for a sweater, or a little bag /wallet/keychain. Something for her!!! (As watergirl said)

Do not get something for the home or a cookbook to cook dinner for your son, or anything else which she may or may not take as a dig at her. (You have no idea if she is hormonal-either pregnant or BC- but possibly unduly sensitive)

I say this as the mom of a Kallah

I guess if I can’t think of anything else I can do the gift card. Was just hoping to find an actual gift not a gift card cuz all my other kids will be getting gifts by the Chanukah party
And as other ima mothers pointed out. I want something for her not for house/kitchen…

So thoughtful of you! I wish my mil would buy me a nice gift just once. She just buys a bunch of random things from Wal-Mart or similar and randomly gifts that to me and my sisters in law. In the past, I got a mug, a cutting board, a cork screw, can't remember what else. Oh yeah, it a was a neck pillow for travel.

I don't care that much about the cost but it would be nice to know that she thought about me and bought a gift that she thought I'd appreciate rather than how she just buys 4 different random things and hands them to us in whatever order they come out of the bag.
