What’s the Chanukah distribution? Regular food that they give all year? We are in the same situation but didn’t sign up for anything yet.
I'm not sure what they give I think it's in blue claws so I assume it's more?

I'm trying to stay strong and I may have to call school and ask them to hold off on tuition payment next month. I don't know how well do it. The numbers dont add up. My other option is going back to work early but I had c and it won't be good for me

Recruiters-

PCS
Candibots
Careerly

Thank you, do you have personal experience with any of these to specifically recommend them over any of the other recruiters? There are so many of them!

Didnt read through but apply for unemployment asap! You will not receive for weeks before you apply!

We messed up! Was laid off the week of yom tov and very hectic so tried to apply after - could not claim for those weeks!

(Diff than disability which is retroactive)

Careerly and candibots are both recruiters. Let him call as many recruiters as possible. Why not?

I haven’t used them to find a job but IZN recruiting made a nice impression on us.

I got my job via PCS.

Make sure his resume is up to date.

Hatzlacha and hugs!!

Oy! Yes call the school. And take tomchei shabbos. And try your rav, sometimes they have funds.

Government programs take time to come through.

I don’t have advice but I did go thru this a few years ago. It’s so painful and feels like you’ll never emerge. But you will. BH we’re in a better place now than we were before and can see how much it was for the best. IyH you’ll see and say the same.

My husband was laid off a little less than 2 year ago. He wasn't getting interviews and was really stressing. One day he said "Hashem I did my hishtadlus, I can't do it anymore. Now it's Your problem to find a way to be mefarnes my family " Shortly after he interviewed and landed his current job.

I have no leads for you, but I did go through this exactly one year ago. We lived on $500 a month. It was so hard! The only thing that got us through was reading shar habitachon every day together.

Aside from the most obvious benefit, where money wasn't on our mind constantly, our marriage was strengthened hundredfold. There wasn't even a single moment throughout the eight months my husband was looking for work that I blamed him or thought that he was doing less than he should.

Bh, After eight grueling months, he found a terrific job As well as started his own company.

It Will get better iyh. You can do this!
