It's true, the yard and the privacy bh. It's what kept me going until now but that excitement wore off already, and also yeah, but my family grew since we moved in here too which makes it harder.

You mean to hang them there to dry? Not worth having laundry divided all over the whole house. As it is the bathroom and dining room are serving my laundry needs, don't want to introduce the bedroom too. I'd rather have it all in public and yet as contained as possible.

I'm also so curious how big your house is. Sounds like it might be a bi-level...they don't usually have laundry rooms. Or pantries. It's hard OP but many do it. Focus on your blessings and daven. I lived in a small apt for many years and am now thankful beyond to own a small home. Also daven that Hashem makes your house beautiful and functional in your eyes.

Just checking if you're still hanging and if you need help coming down?

I keep my mop and buckets on my porch. Also my blech. Bh I have plenty of storage but like it there.
Do you want kitchen cabinets that aren't ttly full? Buffet cabinet, bench storage, anything?

I didn't reas through the entire thread but it's 6 pages long.... so I'm assuming you're good for advice.
1. Keep ONLY what you actually use.
2. Use height not just floor space.
3. As much as possible Keep items in the room they are used.
Bath towels in the bathroom, kitchen towels in the kitchen, and so forth.
My house is bugger than yours, but I still have a really small kitchen.
We got rid of our dinette table and bought 2 random wood cabinets, painted it an almond white to Mach the other formica cabinets and got some stained butcher bock to match the counters. And put that against the wall where we had the dinette table.
Now we only have 1 large dining room table to fit all 6 of us. (And 2 guest)
My table clothes are next to the cook books above the fridge.
Pair items and accessability by how ofteb you use it. The milchig dish towels are under each sink on one side in the front. And the immersion blender behind it.... Together with the braun food processor/bosch mixer/all milchig (3)pots and (3)pans/dish sponges/milchig bundt pan/mini butcher block serving tray/apron and strainer.
On the other side it's the silver polish, dish soup, steelwooland sponges, gallon oils (olive, evo oil, avocado, sunflower) , toaster, hot plate and crock pot. Plus the back of the cabinet is taken up by the water filter. (It's a corner cabinet so it's big bh)
So technically I'd doesn't make sense all that stuff together. But it works fine for us. I have 2 mote cabinets. And one if those is narrow for all fleishig pots. The other is for baking utensils. I bake almost every piece of mezonos we eat. So I need bowls and stand mixers and sheet pans and multiple bundt pans.....
For my kids outgrown clothing that I saves for my younger kids. I found such fabric underfed containers on wheels and I keep them in the kids rooms.
I keep my kids in toddler beds/cribs as long as I can.
We have a bunk bed.
For bath towels we have a shelving rack over the toilet.
Kids coats are on the wall on hooks behind the door. It's poofy and messy but too bad.
Boots go under the coats on a bench. But we use it as shelving. The book bags go on the bench and the shoes underneath. It's a super narrow one so it fits. But the door can't open completely so that means getting to the basement while the house door is open is a tight squeeze.
That also means less visibility into the playroom.
Laundry detergent would probably be in the vanity with the house detergent.
I don't use fabric softeners or fancy products. A bit of vinegar in every load. 1 Laundry detergent and maybe 1 spot/stain fighter spray. House cleaner, Mr. Clean, wonders, Murphy &soft scrub. Some rags and magic erasers.
I keep mine and kids clothing to a functional amount but don't overbuy.
Unless you have very girly girls, one bin, half fir hair accessories half for jewelery. Should keep clutter to a minimum. That includes all kids of accessories and trinkets.
If you rarely iron, get rid of the ironing board and get a small tavel size tabletop ironing boars that folds small and flat and keep under the bed or side if washer between washer and wall.
What else? Shabbos able cloth, cutting bairdd, challah cover, oil for candles and all candle accessories is in the dining room chests/breakfront/cabinet/closet. In the lower shelves.
Don't get 3 sizes of Parchment paper (like I do.... lol! Then I struggle with making eveything fit back in when I take it out. Its like a can of sardines!) But less is more.
I lived In a TINY 1 bedroom apt until shortly before my 2nd. We had one hanging closet, 1 super narrow, shallow shevling closet. 8 small drawers, and a custom mine dinning took take to fit 4 and breaker with 3 windows. Only the 2 speed could be opened.
A fine semicircle table as a dinette. Dh lived that he can sit on his chair and without getting up can take food from the fridge and reach the cutlery drawer too. Was too funny. Then we had a HUGE pantry. It was approx 3 feet wide. But it was probably 4 feet deep. We stuffed EVERYTHING in there. Including clothing 😄 🤣
I remember going food shopping, trying to focus out where we'll put this new fun cereal because there is only room for 3 cereal boxes but 4.
It was a crazy struggle. I wish for you a large comfy, happy loving home!

They are!!! Where do you think my vacuum cleaner was till now? It was getting annoying every time someone took something out of the closet, the pieces of the vacuum cleaner came out too. Thats besides that my toddler loved to play with it cuz it was so accessible behind the sliding doors. No worries, there's more stuff there even though the vacuum cleaner is no longer.

Some daybeds, or even high riser tops, are great for under bed storage without having the little ones feel like they are high up the way they would with bunk beds (or even with some loft beds).
