I get from Lilly. My Dr sent prescription to them and they ship it. It’s $550 a month but it’s the legit stuff. Not compound

I pay about $100 a week
I started at 245 lbs and now I'm 215 lbs.
It's very slow. I'm losing about .75 a week on average. |
I started at about the same weight. I’m at about 208-210 now after a full year. What dose do you take?

I've been on mounjaro since August. Started on 2.5 and now on 5. I lost about 20 pounds so far. I am overweight and pre-diabetic so it was prescribed by my endo, and covered by insurance.

I took it also and had amazing results! In reguards to birth control, while I was taking the pill I had spotting from the shot which was an issue. But had the spermicide option always on hand so I wasn’t relying on the oral option. You can try that together. I B”h had great results! Hoping the same for you!
Went from being 210 to 155 at 5”3. Really amazing! Hatzlacha!

How long did you take it for? And when did you stop? Are you doing anything for maintenance?

For those who lost on it....what do you eat?
I started 6 weeks ago at 2.5 and now I'm on 5 but I haven't had any reduction in appetite and I haven't lost any weight .
Why isn't it working for me?
I know you need to follow a healthy diet on the medication and I was hoping reduced cravings and increased fullness would help me, but I haven't gotten there yet... :☹️
I'm 219 at 5 feet so I really need help. All tips appreciated.

If GI is recommending it due to high blood pressure and high cholesterol and overweight, is there a chance insurance will cover? Not prediabetic. (Horizon BCBS)

Hi everyone!
So actually I just completed my 12th week on Friday!
I really should’ve checked in with you all sooner…
I was on the starter dose of 2.5 for the first 4 weeks, and then I went up to 5 ml, which I’m still at now.
In total I lost 15 pounds. I started at 193 and am now at 178.
I had ups and downs in terms of the weight loss.
There were weeks I lost a couple of pounds and weeks I didn’t even lose half a pound.
I was getting discouraged, when, after eight weeks, the scale was barely moving, but then I realized that I’d been on metformin before starting zepbound, and, as per the doctor’s advice, once I moved up to 5 ml dose, I stopped it. While only on 2.5 but still on the metformin I lost MORE weight, and my doctor said it’s true that some ppl do better with the weight loss while being on both metformin and zepbound, and it’s okay to do both at the same time. So we made up that I’d go back on the metformin while staying on 5 ml and see how that goes…
It definitely made the scale move again (and I never lost weight while on metformin by itself, just FYI…)
So I’m going to do a 4th round of 5 ml zepbound plus metformin and see how that goes…
The doctor said my weight loss IS slow, as it’s not consistently 1-2 pounds a week, so we have to see how it goes and I will likely have to move up in dose.
Meanwhile, though, I feel good and I don’t have the side effects of losing weight quickly, which is healthier.
I have chronic migraine and it doesn’t seem like my migraines got worse (although they’re not necessarily better, either - I have ups and downs).
I don’t have nausea or vomiting and never did since I started.
My main side effect is constipation, and I really have to stay on top of that. But sometimes I suddenly get diarrhea, and when I do need the bathroom, it becomes an emergency quickly. Sorry if that was too graphic - just wanted to be clear about side effects for people who are considering this. This can happen a couple of times in a week, and then not for a while, but mostly it’s manageable. Other than that I have no side effects at all.
I do sometimes get hungry but I get full quickly and the fullness can last for hours. I now eat less for breakfast and don’t have to eat till lunch (I could never manage before without a snack) although by lunchtime I’ll find I’m very hungry. My food cravings are definitely much less (I really struggled with emotional eating, sometimes bingeing), but they’re not completely gone, although the food noise is less. Maybe if I go up in dose I’ll totally not think about food. For now, though, it’s much better, and while occasionally I still ‘binge’ and eat a lot of nosh etc. or cake or something unhealthy it’s MUCH less and I don’t think about it much afterwards.
I hope this was helpful and I’ll keep you posted….
