I recently moved to Lakewood and am trying to enroll my family in a private non marketplace health insurance plan for the upcoming year. And my head is spinning. I spoke to two brokers locally and they both threw so much info at me, and I’m just overwhelmed. I have one child that gets therapy through insurance, another with a medical condition and a bunch of healthy kids bh. While they did give me time, in both companies the representatives sounded very young, were not terribly professional and not super knowledgeable about nuances. Which could make a big dif in cost and coverage. Is there a companionate patient broker locally or someone who could really guide me?

Hi,
I dealt with Diamandt and Associates.
The agent I spoke to was super knowledgeable and competent.
I don’t know if they are one the places you reached out to already , just wanted to share my experience

There are definitely plans within Horizon for example that have out of state coverage if gotten privately. And that’s not an option through get covered Nj plans.
