lol. Did you see my post above , picture included . In my real life , I often get judged for having to many non Jews in my life that we are close with . If you’d like I’ll include another picture of that same child and you can judge if he learned that from me . But either way , my child wasn’t being judgemental . He was merely asking a question. This picture is in my house .
Do you really think my little son hugging a non Jew in my house is learning from me all G0yim are bad ?

That's horrible parenting I am sorry. It's absolutely not acceptable to put those kinds of ideas into kids heads.
Imagine a non jewish kid asking you why you don't have horns as a jew. I mean come on. Be better than that and teach your kids better than that. It's a chillul hashem
And if you didn't teach him that someone did. Because kids aren't born racist and they don't view the world like that.
Who told him g-yim are bad???
To OPs question... no. Because we don't discuss other people in our home and we aren't judgmental. I think that goes a long way in parenting. Kids will say what they hear their parents say. If a kid tells you sth about politics, shows racism, s-xism.. you know what the parents say at home.

You think I arrange play dates for him with non jewish children and then teach him they are bad behind their back ?
Never judge. Little kids pick up things everywhere.

This is actually my theory . I’m excited to see that I have someone else who agrees lol. (The part of his non exposure to non Jews is not correct. He had lots of exposure but he didn’t
even realize that all the g0yim in his life were actually g0yim. In school all he learns that non Jewish people are bad in all the stories (the mabul, Chanukah, Purim , yitzias mitzraim, etc…, he didn’t realize that all these people are not Jews until I explained it to him and at that point he was just trying to make sense of everything.

And showing pictures isnt helping either.
Again, he picked up the idea from some place. |
I can post as many picture as I would like . (Unless there is a rule on this site that limits the amount of pictures you can post that I was unaware of ? )
Anyway , my pictures actually prove a lot . And second , picking up the idea from somewhere automatically means he learned it from me ?
Read my post of on my theory as to where he picked it up from.
Just curious , what about my picture posting is getting you upset ? (And I do have permission to post the other child’s picture. I scribbled the faces of the ones I don’t have permission from the parents )

Horrible parenting ? Did I tell you what I responded to my son? You think I can control what comes out of his mouth ? Read my post above on my theory as to why he said that . The irony of all of you judging me is that in real life I am judged for allowing my children to have so many non jewish friends and adults that they are close with .
So nasty of you to say be better than that . Why assume I’m not better than that ? I repeated an embarrassing story with my son and somehow I’m a horrible parent .

The fact that at my sons bar mitzvah there were lots of non Jews posing with my son . Highly unlikely that he learned from me “all g0yim are bad “
Why would they be invited to my sons bar mitzvah and be posing with my son if they aren’t people that are part of his life ?

I have never heard my children say things like that. And they have no non jews in our life. |
And you are certain he learned it from me ? No other possible explanation?

And therefore ? I can’t post pictures of my own child ? And others that give me permission to post ?
Anything else of value to add to the conversation?

At one point my 2 year old son was educated by his 5 year old uncles that all handymen and construction workers etc, are g0yim. Whenever he saw one he’d announce “Mommy, what are these g0yim doing?” It took a long time to get him to stop saying the word. Now he calls all non Jews “workers”.

I can’t believe so many people are attacking mommy3b2c for a three-year-old’s comment! I would think he got it from school where they learn about Paroah, Antiochus, Haman etc. The Jews are always the heroes of the story and the non-Jews are the bad guys. He was just trying to figure out if non jews always means bad guys. He didn’t make the connection to actual non-Jews that he knew. This is NOT at all similar to a kid saying that Jews have horns which is a specific idea someone had to have told him. Sheesh, I can’t believe people can be so ridiculous.

Of course it reflects badly on the school if this is the belief three year olds come away with.

I don't hear a kid asking that as a judgement, I hear a misunderstanding of the word.
My kid thought that "stranger" meant bad and that "teenager" meant stranger, because the words sound alike. So when they heard that some nice people they knew are teenagers, they asked for an explanation.
I reminded them that strangers are people we don't know, so even though most people are good, we don't know them and therefore kids don't go anywhere with strangers. And that teenager is something completely different. But they were still convinced that their way was right for a while

As far as I can see, all those people on the photos could be Jewish.
It is one thing to tell kids about bad Romans, Greeks, Egyptians but you don't need to frame it as all non Jews are bad except....xyz
Because there are plenty of Jews who aren't so good either

Anyone can be Jewish . People convert all the time . But none of them are. And none of them look particularly religious as they mostly have long hair , earrings , tattoos . And did you just insinuate that I teach my children all non Jews are bad besides the ones we know ? Or did I misunderstand you ?
