My 16 month old loves to splash in the toilet bowl, even better when he can get his hands on **** Puke

I’ve already installed a toilet lock, my older kids know to make sure he does not gain access, but my 3yo is completely clueless. He was using the bathroom today with an open door and only remembered to call me when baby has already gotten **** on his hands, face and mouth. Puke Puke

This is the 3rd or 4th time my baby did this. I’m absolutely horrifyingly grossed out, not to mention the health factor. Any ideas on how to stop this?

Experienced mamas please help!!!

Ummmm
What??
Experienced mother here.
1. Watch your baby
2. Flush the toilet
Why aren’t you keeping an eye on your baby? Why are toilets unflushed??
Of course babies want to play with toilets. We close bathroom doors and keep an eye on them so they don’t go where they aren’t supposed to go

Of course I do those Banging head otherwise it would be happening every day.
DH had been getting the kids in pj’s and I was busy, hadn’t realized he let the baby go already, 3yo was in the bathroom at the other end of the house, in my room.

Why a 3yo doesn’t flush immediately when done? Or why a 3yo would get up to check something out (in the bathroom) before calling for someone to wipe him?

I don't think you can stop a baby this age. Too young to understand/reason with.
So you would have to work on ensuring no access at all.
How about installing a simple hook lock on the outside of the bathroom door, high up and keeping the bathroom locked from the outside. So 3 year old would have to ask you to unlock the door before using the bathroom, and you'll know to keep an extra eye out for the baby. (Depends on your child how that would work out. My 3yo always tells me before going to the bathroom, and often wants me to come with so wouldn't be a big deal in my family)
Or another option is to work on explaining to the 3 year old, and getting him on board. A 3 year old should be able to understand that it's not safe for the baby and if the baby comes into the bathroom while he's using it, he should call for a parent right away.

I don’t think a lock would work, then non of the kids will be able to go by themselves, but I could tell him to tell me before going.

I’ve told him that, I should remind him more often I guess.
