My son had a sore throat for a few days and now has almost chicken pox looking things on one arm and one side of his front trunk. a ton on the arm, and a decent amount on the one side of his trunk and just a few scattered on the other side. He was fatigued the second day. Otherwise no fever, sore throat went away and he's left with these spots! Is there a virus like this going around now?

It’s normal to get a rash after a virus. My son gets it from time to time.

Maybe it IS chickenpox.
Vaccinated kids could still get it, but it's generally very light.

Call the office first and tell them the symptoms before going. The Dr may not want you sitting on the waiting room infecting everyone

You can get a rash from fever/ viruses no matter which one it is. I would take him to the Dr though.

Sounds like maybe scarlet fever even though the rash is nothing like chicken pox

Very interesting. On Sunday my dd had very itchy dots on her trunk that scabbed quickly. Lasted 1-2 days.

No fever and no itch. His sore throat was on and off so didn't seem strep like at all. He also had a little cough.
He had the chicken pox and the shot already actually. Can someone get it twice?

Can it be hand foot and mouth disease if it's not on any of those places?
