I'm planning a trip to London soon, and would love to spend time (and money!) in a good specialist embroidery shop. A completely different experience to sitting in front of the computer and ordering off amazon.
Can any Londoners recommend some good options? I'm happy to travel around London - I'll probably be doing that anyway.

I haven't been in a few years so you may want to call first but Liberty of London always had a wonderful needlework department. The shop is also gorgeous and worth a trip.

OP, I don't know how soon you're coming but - it's cold!

I used to love going in to Finishing Touches in North Finchley on my lunch breaks from work. It was a general haberdashery shop, with lots of treasures! Not sure if it will be enough for you, as it is not dedicated to embroidery.

Not coming until way after chanukah, so the weather's got time to warm up. I'm hoping to see snowdrops and crocuses - we don’t really get them in Israel. I'll be too early for the daffodils, though.
I'd forgotten Liberty's. That's well worth a visit. I'll check out the other shops mentioned - and happy to hear more ideas. Thank you.
