We got our daughter an American girl Doll. She left it put outside and it got all wet. My husband suggested we put in into the dryer. When I said noooo he answered all seriously maybe well put it into the oven on a low temperature. I don't even know how these bright ideas come to him.

When we had our first baby, I had to leave and my hubby had to change her diaper. He called me freaking out that he doesn't know what he's doing and for some reason no matter how hard he's wiping her he can't get it all. My sister walked into the room and was crying of laughter. FYI He had her lying on her belly, cuz otherwise how do you clean a backside?? LOL

I almost did this once too; I just realized it shortly after and it was a regular pot so it was an easy fix. I once put in a cake to bake and it was taking forever and I couldn’t figure out why until I noticed the full bag of flour on the table. 😆 it was excellent hot fudge over ice cream in the end.

When we were newlyweds, I decided to make homemade ice cream using the ice cream maker we got as a wedding gift. I made the custard on the stove and then set the pot of custard to chill in a big bowl of ice water in the sink. I went to do something else for awhile.

A little later I come into the kitchen and my husband is hanging up the dish towel and says “I washed out those dirty bowls you left in the sink!” Bye bye custard.

Another ice cream story: when we were engaged, we drove to go visit his grandmother. It was summer and we stopped to buy some ice cream bars at a gas station to eat in the car. He tells me he likes his ice cream very melty so he set his ice cream bar down for awhile. He’s driving down the highway and finally unwraps in and starts to take a bite but the whole thing falls off the stick into his lap. He was trying to scoop it up with one hand while driving and has chocolate and ice cream all over his crotch area and obviously I can’t help him out to clean it up! We laughed a lot and I still tease him bc he insists on letting ice cream bars sit until they are almost sliding off the stick.

This isn't really funny.. it's weaponized incompetence and it's infuriating. She was 2 months old and he had never changed a diaper???? That's absolutely horrible.

The first time dh ever did bedtime was when I was nursing a newborn, and I told him it's past toddler's bedtime. In the morning, I saw that dh put ds 2 to bed fully dressed and asked what happened. He said, "you told me to put him on the bed. You didn't say anything about pajamas."
The next time dh dealt with bedtime was 4 years later when I was sitting shiva. I came home every night after the kids were asleep so I could get them out in the morning, but dh was alone with them from when he came home from work until I got home, so I can't blame him for anything crazy.
The first night, I saw ds 4 was sleeping on my bed. I asked dh if ds was trying to wait for me and that's why he's there. Dh said that he fell asleep in the living room, so dh carried ds to my bed. I asked him why he did my bed. He didn't know.
The next night, ds was sleeping across two dining room chairs. I asked dh how he can leave him like that. He said, "Last night, you complained that I put him on your bed. I didn't know where you wanted me to put him."

He had no idea kids should go to bed in their pajamas, or even that they should go to sleep in their beds as opposed to their mother's bed or 2 chairs? Cherry, is this for real? Where does he go to sleep every night and what did he wear to bed as a kid?

This story happened when I was a baby. I woke up crying so my mother asked my father to get my bottle from the fridge.
He comes back to the room a few minutes later with a stick of Margarine. My Mother couldn't stop laughing and my father was so annoyed and didn't realize what he did.
