[My husband is a super nice person (way nicer than me) with many, many strengths (the most admirable being absolutely incredible self control), and he has traditionally male strengths and weaknesses. It's the majority. The stereotype wouldn't exist if it wasn't. I think we do a massive disservice to women by making them think their husbands need to live up to some bizarre standard or that they're choosing to be incompetent, no wonder people start thinking up that they have shalom bayis issues after spending time on here. If noone is trying to hurt anyone let's just let people be happy]

Exactly!!!!

It is most males.

Your husband is the minority.

Most men have trouble with dressing babies and the like.

That's not to say they are incompetent. Just they tend to have different areas of competence than women.

Lack of practice. Zola describes a bourgeois mom trying to dress her baby

spoiler: in tears she goes to her POPULAR male neighbour who had to deal with siblings and he manages iirc

When DD was a baby, the sitter had a child the same age with a similar (heart-shaped) face. They ended up being besties through their school years.

(They didn't look like twins, but there was quite a resemblance). And yes, DH started to pick up the wrong child.

We didn't have much money. He had no experience with woodwork but made a bed himself. Watched some tutorials before. It looked great. I sat on it, it squeaked but was fine. So I lied down... and the whole bed fell apart with me screaming.. couldn't stop laughing. I felt bad for him, he spent a couple hours on it. But we still laugh about it years later. What a great time that was!!!

Kids winter shabbos clothes.., school pants, uniform skirts….. gone

Oh I can write a book!

Omg mine wanted to be nice once and did my laundry... 2 bras were broken (wired bras), the silicon part of the washing machine was ripped apart by the wire and 2 shirts had holes. I was like thanks that was kind but please don't ever wash my bras again!!

Omg!
My husband does appliance repair. He was once helping transfer the wash to the dryer by Me, and somehow my bra had snapped and he found just the underwire. He spent a few minutes wondering how the machine broke, while I laughed.

Fast forward a year or so. He goes to a job for a wash machine not draining. Cleans out the drain pump, and pulls out an underwire. He just casually puts it aside and fixes the machine.

Woman of the house asks what the problem was, so he just tells her the drain pump was stuffed. She sees the pile he has on the side of random odds and ends he found while cleaning the pump and the wire. She starts going on and on wondering where that wire came from and what it was. My husband was just like ‘I have no idea, can I get out of here b4 u figure it out??’

I’ve done that this past sukkos. lol
DH buys long cucumbers. But the last few months bought normal small ones so I saw the cucumber in the fridge. I started peeling it. I put it in the chicken soup. It did look different to me, but I didn’t think anything of it said where did that cucumber go and I see it’s in the chicken soup.😂😂😂 (pregnancy brain)
