Teen daughter is getting 24 Six solo3
There are 100s of singers on there, with so many various hashkafos..
want to filter th singers that are not to our standards, but the names mean nothing to me..
Ideally want to just keep on singers who wear a yarmulka, dont sing love songs or not Jewish songs, and are not almost undistinguishable from not Jewish music.
Can you please share your block list?

Can you please give me names of singers I should block? Cant do full categories..

This is my problem with the 24/6. There are yarmulke and sheitel wearing singers who sing straight up non jewish music.

And this is what I love about 24six! I love that I get to decide what I want to listen to according to my own hashkafa and not the app. I love that there are women on there, and I love that there is more than one way to represent frum music, which is reflected on the app.

BH there are options these days for everyone! My family tried Naki a few years ago and it really was not reflective of the needs of my kids or me.

It's kosher because there are no ads and no access to anything else.

I personally don't block anything but ask your daughter the names of the singers she wants and block everything else.

I agree with you. I definitely have an edgier taste in music which mostly matches up to what I used to listen to in my past life and I love that I don't have to give that part of myself up but my very FFB son finds my taste weird. So OP I would not worry too much about blocking specific artists she may not even like anyway.

24Six does not compare to spotify or youtube music or anything else. I'm so sad for you that you can't tell the difference between 24Siz and youtube.

I feel very comfortable giving my teenage son his own profile and blocking nothing aside from making sure it's a male profile so he can't get the women's content. You don't have to agree with that choice, but you also don't get to decide it's not kosher, stam.

Yes this, when you select male they block all female singers.
My teen boys have it and they love it.
It's 1000x better than Spotify or YouTube.

Why don’t you just scroll the singers and block the things that seem not to fit into your hashkafa that you don’t want anyone stumbling across?

From what I understand they make sure they feature only frum singers.

I wanna just say that I once reached out to them about a song my kids were listening to that sounded like a love song sung by one of these Jewish groups during sefira and they responded immediately that they have a mahgiach go thru the songs and he must’ve missed it. They promptly removed it.

So…

I’m not saying every single family across the broad spectrum will be okay with every single song but I feel totally comfortable with my kids listening to it.

Op, maybe see if you can block any songs with English words. This will easily knock off many songs you might find questionable (but you will also lose many great songs). It might be worth it…
