If it’s a camera ticket pay and be done
If you were pulled over and there’s points fight and push of court date till the points don’t matter anymore and then if you have to pay you pay but at least no points

Dunno I read online that if you go to court and speak to prosecutor they may remove the points on your license.

For insurance purposes
Points stay on your license from day of conviction
You can push for 5 years but it will go on...

There is a concept of pushing off the hearing multiple times and hoping the officer won’t be in that position anymore and so he won’t come down to court to testify.

No bec you probably got points for that
Idk which state you’re in but in ny they have cameras that just catch the plates not the actual driver (obviously) so you don’t get any points on your license only have a fine that I pay right away

My DH got points lowered on a speeding ticket by agreeing to do a driving course. If there’s points it’s worthwhile trying to get them lowered/removed

Yes. You can plead to unsafe driving charge. It will cost you but a speeding charge will bump up your insurance price

Ok makes sense. How does it work? Are you able to request what the charge should be? And how much does insurance increase?

Are you in Lakewood? Call Mrs Shain on Carey St. She gives (free) guidance on your best option based on the specific details.
She may have info for general NJ also.

You don't have to pay it. Get more tickets and have your license revoked.

Seriously of course you should pay it there's nothing to fight and no good ignoring

I disagree. If it is a first offense, it is worthwhile to go to court. You should be remorseful and ask for a lower charge. Many times they are nice and will agree.
