Sounds to me he was late because he's furious at Rikki's betrayal. But answered her when she texted him she was scared and wanted a sign of life.

My first thought was that they will feel betrayed that she didn't tell the family she's working there and they'll find it sneaky that now she knows their secrets...and they'll be upset with her somehow.

I have a q going back a few weeks, how did Rikki know for sure that her in-laws lost money in the scam? It said that she heard about the scam and had a bad feeling, but was it ever confirmed?

She doesn't know for sure. I think she remembered her fil speaking about this person in shul re investing.

And her former coworker Devorah told her that lots of people in town were scammed by some "investor" who turned out to be a fraud. She put two and two together...

So many of these characters are so unlikeable I can’t stand nesanel and his obsession with his family’s chat, he talks like a teenager

All of the characters are dysfunctional and unlikable except the poor daughters-in-law.
