I have 48. I like the look and I like being able to get frum linens but my duvets are twin size and I don’t like that there isn’t much overhang.

I have 60,( queen) I say if you have space, go for it.
I loooveeee it. Even when not in bed together I spread out and sleep hands wide open lol.
Linen from Jewish stores will be more expensive, but I still think you can find nice 100% cotton linen that isn't too expensive.
I also have higher bed frames ( and high matresses) I thought it would look nicer, it does, but it's not so convenient for sitting/putting on socks etc...
I would go for lower bed frames if I would be getting new ones.

Regarding mattresses, we have from costco, not sure the exact brand/type. It was definitely an investment, especially as they're queen, but we're very very happy with them.
