It seems like the new Malka is getting a more heimish crowd, while Tal is getting a Bais Yaakov/Yeshivish crowd. The original Malka campers split up between both camps. Camp Tal is on beautiful grounds, while people don't know anything about the new Camp Malka grounds.

It seems that Tal is having more of a mix, out of towners, Flatbush, 5 towns

They did get a mix, but their core group is based in Lakewood. I heard they rejected a lot of girls, so they are being very selective about who they take... The OOT girls are solid Bais Yaakov.

My daughter is going. I was told there are many Lakewood HS girls from BY, Bais Shaindel, Shiras Devora, Machon. And Lakewood Elementary schools - Bais Faiga, Bais Tova, Tiferes, Bnos Hadassa, Bnos Devora, Bnos Yakov. And apparently a lot from out of town - Bais Yaakov girls from Monsey, Toronto, Cleveland, Detroit, Miami, Passaic, Baltimore, Miami, Waterbury, Montreal. I spoke to the administrative director, and she said they spent hours doing research on each girl to ensure she is a high quality BY girl.

We are an OOT family. Our daughter is going IYH to Camp Tal this summer (1st half), and isn’t going with any friends . We sent to Levavi last year, which was amazing, and she had a great time. She is solid BY girl, and her crowd of friends are also solid BY girls and yeshivish. She loves camp and is an adventurous girl, and is eager to plunk herself into a new environment.
Hatzlacha to everyone in finding a good camp for their kids!

Have you sent to Ohr chedvah before?
What type are you?
Sounds like Tal will have a heavy Lakewood presence, while Ohr Chedva is a mix , but more Brooklyn/Far Rockaway/Monsey. Not sure though, so don't take my word for it.

That is accurate. Tal is getting more of a Lakewood/BY group than Ohr Chedva. Tal also has out of town girls, but very selective about getting high quality BY/yeshivish.

I heard that first half is almost completely full, but some age groups have slots. Second half has room in all age groups.
