I recommend listening to her shiur linked earlier in this thread. It is clear that we should not be complaining to Hashem. Stating that your kid is sick as a fact would not be complaining in my opinion . It's more about being grateful and not complaining and turning the tests into thanks etc.

I'm b'n going to try. "Just" for the month (middos growth isn't wise to jump too high in, but I feel comfortable trying this).
Thinking about how... just examples
So for instance, instead of saying "I'm so tired" as I do a lot, going to try to either not say anything, or to say "I'm looking forward to resting", & once I rest to express gratitude for it.
I was going to tell my teenage dc that I wanted to use something which they forgot to put back, so it wasn't there when I wanted it, but caught myself & simply asked if they had it š.
What do people think though about venting to a friend or family member one is close to, like for support as women tend to do? Not quite for therapeutic purposes, but simply to talk & feel supported? I wouldn't feel it's so healthy for me to try to be on such a high madreiga & attempt not doing that long term, but maybe can see, just b'n for the month, what it's like to not even do that, just to see what it's like.
