Yes, especially when considering New York City, lakewood, etc. It has very little Jewish infrastructure

Passaic doesn't have an OOT mentality at this point. It's a regular in town community.

What do you mean by āvery little Jewish infrastructureā?
It is a thriving Jewish frum community. Just smaller then Brooklyn or Lakewood

Huh? Very little jewish infrastructure??
Passiac has a great jewish infrastructure, whatever jews may need. Of course on a smaller scale then Brooklyn or Lakewood, as the community is smaller, but there's nothing missing in Passaic.

Passaic has the same level of infrastructure as Monsey, just on a smaller scale

Thriving is a strong word, it is growing though. It's a small town. Literally
Your school options are either A or B. As for groceries, it's the sameājust A or B. And the pizza shop? You guessed it: A or B.
The kids wear the exact same clothing bought in the exact same stores.
There is a variety of shuls, but even the most yeshivish doesn't compare to average Lakewood.
The most Chassidish shul doesn't hold a candle to brooklyn.
It's out if town.

Passaic is not out of town. There's a nice variety of stores & kids absolutely don't only wear clothing from the same 2 stores..... people shop online & at department stores just like people from other communities. And with all those fancy stores at Brook Haven, Passaic is definitely not OOT.

What? No way. Passaic is full of fashionable people and a hop away from five towns.

What makes something oot is the questionā¦ Chicago is considered oot but itās a huge thriving community with tons of resources and more similar to monsey and Lakewood than Passaic in a lot of ways. So itās all relative.
