I don't have one.
IMHO it's a new fad. The only place who needs an ice machine is a restaurant.

I have one. My husband uses ice in every drink and we are renting an apartment with a fridge that doesn't produce ice. For us it is worth it but definitely takes up lots of counter space. If you use ice so often that making cubes in the freezer is a big nuisance than I guess its worth it. We got ours on amazon.

I have the ge opal 2.0
First my husband thought I was crazy but we don’t have ice in our fridge , by now dH and kids are seriously addicted. One of my best purchases ( got it on a good sale )
