Dd has a corduroy dress that gets full of lint after every wash. I have to use a lint remover before she wears it which is very annoying. Any ideas how to prevent it?

Google says not to overload washer. Also don't wash with towels or fleece items or sweaters. How about a separate wash?

It needs to be washed in its own load so it doesn't pick up fibers from other materials.

I generally wash it with similar type clothes but I’ll try to wash it on its own and see what happens. Never had an issue with ds’s pants 🤷‍♀️

Update. I washed it on its own and it still came out full of lint. Any other ideas?

You may be using too much detergent, which isn't rinsing out completely and is leaving a residue that looks like lint. Try washing the item once with no detergent but adding plain white vinegar to the final rinse (NO fabric softener!) and see what happens. Vinegar helps dissolve detergent residue.

Would you try to wash it inside out and see it it helps?

I doubt it’s the detergent. She has another corduroy dress that doesn’t seem to have this problem. I never had this issue with any other corduroy dress or pants before.
