It’s $30 mins twice a week. I believe her OT told me that she doesn’t have the stamina for longer

However, she does use elements of this theory in creating a protocol for each child. But as of now its not proven and they wouldn't say that they use reflex integration exclusively for a child's service plan. This is as I understood her. I'm repeating what I think I heard.... | So much of OT is not evidence based. The evidence is if it works. Also some people have already been through standard OT and it didn’t make enough of a difference. I happen not to be in the reflex integration changed my child and completely cured them club, but I don’t like this smearing of any therapies that are slightly out there and probably not considered standard for some political reason or because nobody wants to sponsor the research.

My daughter is in the therapy place and therapist comes to school. Very happy there. They take private insurance and some HMOs

Reflex integration therapy is amazing! Research or not-- n there is plenty of evidence and research it's a strong set protocol that if evaluated correctly and treated with therapist proficient in it you can see amazing results more than regular sensory based OT forsure! I don't think anyone should feel bad if can't do the top named ots. At the end of the day most therapy will help somewhat even if ur paying less. N the private ots r rly a fortune. As an ot I always say, try ur cheaper option first and see. If it's not giving u wat u need then u can see wat ur next options r. Obvs u do get wat u pay for and the private therapists have more of an achrayis to u n put more into per session bec they know how much the parents r giving. (Seen firsthand both ways). I think as long as ur trying to do wats best for ur child ur bieng an amazing mom. Do wat u can and based on wat child needs or the extent of their disability. N no ur not a terrible mom if u can't afford these sessions ur still an amazing parent for caring and trying to advocate and do wats best for ur kid!

Excellent therapists. They work your child hard, are honest with the time - they don't shave off 5 min here, 5 min there, and are always prepared with new activities that foster new skills each session. Highly recommend. When ppl say extreme statements like "anyone else isn't worth your time" I am very skeptical. OT isn't advanced brain surgery. You don't have to kill yourself or take out a second mortgage to help your kid... |
Depends on who you get. Not all of them are good. I’m pediatric OT myself and the OT my child had there had 10+ years of experience and was AWFUL. (No, I’m not being picky. She wasted our session time doing activities that I knew were either unnecessary, pointless, missed the mark, or developmentally inappropriate from a clinical standpoint.)

I once saw an OT verbally abuse a mother in front of the whole gym because she was frustrated with the child. It was awful.

She is absolutely amazing and worth the money (don’t think she takes jersey car or those types of insurance) she doesn’t waste your time is brutally honest and u can call her privately at anytime to discuss your concerns she treats the children super well and does amazing I work. I’ve jumped around a few therapists and was amazed when I found her such professionalism. Five starts for sure

Has anyone ever used her for impulsivity/ADD for their child?

I've heard her tell parents honestly and accurately whether their impulsive child needed medication or not so it's worth a try in my opinion.
