I did classic grey in most of my house. Very happy with it - looks beautiful against my white kitchen. I would suggest doing eggshell finish for walls and semi gloss for doors and trim. Good luck!

Is Athena similar to the greige colors that were very popular a while ago. I remember years ago everyone did bm balboa mist and pale oak. I’m looking for something lighter and less grey but not plain white.

I just moved and redid paint and floors in my house.
To get a feeling of room and space you’ll want to go the lightest possible. I did Decorators white. It’s a white without an undertone. I scraped the lightest color. And all tiles I did the lightest possible it should still be practical. The house looks bigger, wider, ceilings look higher… I did the same color for walls, moldings, doors. I added gold accents (handles, hinges, etc) I did white in all rooms and I can always add colored window treatment, curtains, decals to create different vibes.

We did a satin/pearl finish because I have a bunch of Littles. It's so easy to wipe down and keep clean. I think it looks really nice.
It doesn't look shiny or glossy at all.

Can you post links for the gold accents etc?
Also , what stain did you do for the wood floor ?
I did the same white idea as you but haven’t gotten to the rest yes …
Sounds GORGEOUS!!

We did edgecomb gray when gray was in style but I wanted something warmer. It's a very nice light greige.

im painting now too and this thread is so helpful.
eggshell is a very matte finish, correct? I want something more durable that won't chip as fast. y'know the oil paint look that some brooklyn homes have? what is that called and is it a good idea?
my paint from 4 years ago is chipped everywhere and it's matte so I want to try something different.

I got the gold handles and hinges from Crown Millwork where I got the doors.
Scraping I did the lightest color that wasn’t gray.
Have in mind when they show you samples that even if it looks like raw wood with finish it looks darker, finished, and shinier.
