If I wipe clean my iPhone & take out the sim is it unlocked ?
If the answer is no, how do I go about doing it ?
Want to sell my used phone.

You have to reach out to whoever you purchased the phone from to unlock it

Resetting it does nothing and the sim doesn’t matter. Its locked into a certain carrier, and they will only unlock it if it’s been paid in full

Store CAN NOT help. they dont do it, so dont waste your time.

the on;y one who can help is original carrier.

more likely to help if you are still under their service+ many require a full year of paid service, or thy will not unlock.

you call carrier who originated cell, ask "I would like to unlock" . listen to what they say, or any terms or conditions needed first.

I have a new iphone, and could not get it unlocked.
