Eat unprocessed foods. For one month, eliminate dairy, sugar, and gluten to see how you're effected. Take cod liver oil capsules, methylated b complex, whole food vitamin c, and zinc.
Work on stress, emotional health, and sleep.
Make sure you're not constipated, having at least one or two bowel movements a day.
Support your liver.
You don't have to do all of this to get to get results. Pick one thing that feels doable for you and start with it.

I'm not a heavy makeup wearer. I think that helps. I put on eye make up, lipstick and blush. No base, bronzers, etc. (Everyone who wears bronzer tells me it's because they are so pale, they have no choice. I am light skinned. I just never got myself used to the darker look so I don't feel so pale)

My diet is clean. I take the foundational supplements. I have bowel movements daily. I've tried all kinds of liver supports, none made any difference whatsoever to my skin.

No because I don't want medication. Also the meds can't be taken when pregnant and breastfeeding which is a lot of the time.

I used to get facials, they may have made a slight difference but nothing lasting.
Is it common to need facials every 2 weeks just so you can appear in public not looking like a hormonal teenager?

I tried it all. This year I’ve noticed a huge improvement.
I still breakout a week before my period and a week before ovulation though.
Here’s what I did (not intentionally just happened):
-I ran out of the expensive profits I was using. So I stopped. Stopped all skincare products including moisturizer only face wash in the shower and toner when needed
-for health purposes Stopped eating fried foods and stopped seed oils and canola and started using only avocado and olive.
-I get migraines so I started taking magenisim I don’t know if the grilles but bh it helped my migraines.edit- per Google it can help. Avoid b12 it can induce acne as it did to me.

I wasn’t clear. I didn’t mean oral medication. I meant topical medication

There's the basic skin care routine: put on sunscreen every single day, moisturizing every day, don't go to sleep with makeup on, wash your face every night, use vitamin C, use retinol, change your pillow case often, limit fried food, limit sugar. But at the end of the day everyone has different skin and you should go see a dermatologist so they can create a skincare routine that is customized to your skin. There are many many skincare products out there, you need a dermatologist to examine your skin and tell you what you should be using every morning and night.

I stopped using skincare products long ago. I use a gentle, clean cleanser when I need to get makeup off.
I've been using unrefined oils for years.
I take very high doses of magnesium already. No difference.

At that age I said enough and endocrinologist prescribed spironolactone.
Wash 2x a day.
Moisture immediately after washing each time. Yes even over breakout. Oil free moisturizer meant for sensitive skin.

accutane- I did it single, but if someone really hates there skin, they can start postpartum (not breastfeed) and they'll likely not have to worry about their skin for the rest of their lives.
My personal care product budget now is pennies and I don't wear makeup except shabbos, because my skin is clear.
I am much more natural in every other aspect of my life, but the menuchas hanefesh this has given me cannot be described.
I only did 5 months becase I got engaged. (stopped 2 months before wedding and was pregnant 5 months later total, but 1-2 months is considered safe, despite what people on google say)
