So why don’t we cover our fingernails?

I don't know tons about this view, but because you quoted me I'll answer what I know....
This wasn't a reason to cover but it was a reason we don't glorify hair and its beauty. The same people who hold this view absolutely hold of it by nails also and keep their nails trimmed all the way down to the skin.

It would be quite comical if I'd cover my hair when we sleep naked each night.
Not that it should matter but we are chassidish (not shave your hair type though)

How does my head covering on or off make me yes or no Chassidish? Confused at your question.

The only thing I am confused about is covering while dtd. I was told by kallah teacher and husband to be completely n*ked. Including my head. To become one unit. I have heard of everything else. I only cover my hair at home when we have visitors or I am in the mood. I recently started trying for shabbos meals but I sometimes forget or am too tired. So definitely not while in bed. My mother usually covered around the house but not to sleep either.
Why am I getting hugs? I don't rely on kabbalah so most of these things are strange to me.

If you have nothing with judaism why are you on this forum at all? Do you eat kosher?

I grew up seeing my mothers hair in the morning and evening when she was going to bed/waking up. When I was getting married, I asked my chosson to ask his Rav if I should cover in the house. He said I should. It was hard for me and as a newlywed I asked again. The Rav said that when I have children around I should. At that point before kids, it was left up to me.
But he was clear from the beginning that in my bedroom I don't have to.
I still struggle with covering at home today. So often I want to just let it dry down (my hair is really pretty!) but I'm a work in progress.
All of you Imas who cover at night are my inspiration. If you can do that I can let my hair dry covered!

In the torah for a man to take ashet yefat toar he should make her ugly by letting her grow out her nails and shaving her hair (because the idea should be discouraged and not done). This is why many consider shorter hair more tznuia, hold it to be very important to cover hair at all times, and keep their nails trimmed and short. Finger nails are not ervah but we do wash negal vasser because thats where the neshama goes out and the tumah comes into the body each night.

I don’t cover at night either but I’ve worn a hoodie to bed many times and it’s super comfy. Would that be an option?

And that’s why chasidim hold not to grow long nails or paint nails.

Because chassidim don't hold from uncovering hair, and the poster is casually telling us she never covers her hair at home.
Is it a new kind of chassidish? Certainly not mainstream.

No I have nothing to explain to people who get into such idiosyncrasies that have no basis to them. Transliterated words can be spelled anyway. No set spelling for Transliterated words

Like other state, I’m very confused about covering hair/yalmurka when DTD when I learned you’re not supposed to wear anything at all. Naked + yalmurka? My husband specifically takes his off!
I’m heimish, don’t sleep with any head covering. Never heard of wearing socks to sleep. Wouldn’t that cause fungus?
I put my snood on in the morning. If I get up in middle of the night for a baby or something, I’ll go out in my hair. My boys are teenagers. They see my hair if they come into my room 🤷♀️

There’s no set spelling but most of these transliterated words are spelled the way they sound.... And chasidish does not sound like chasidush

This is an extemely harsh response. There's no halacha that you can't sleep naked. Presumably she's under a blanket and nobody is coming into her room besides her husband. Even if she's not under a blanket it's completely halachically ok.
