My 9th grader needs a new winter coat. She says the girls are wearing, at the very least, SAM NY coats. This is a typical Lakewood school, by the way, not considered fancy at all. I looked and looked but there is nothing in her size (XS) that isn’t $500 or above. Can you Imas post links to cute in style coats that won’t break the bank? What can make her feel good and in style without spending an exorbitant amount of money and pandering to this crazy materialism?

If you can wait a few weeks the frum stores will go on sale and you can get their stuff. Google the frum brands like pramie and scotchbonnet and manteau and the frum websites will come up. All adorable and in and full price maybe 200s? How much were you hoping to spend?

I will say that scotch bonnet has amazing customer service. We bought something from them and part of it tore and they sent me a code to get a new one, totally free, no questions asked. I offered to send pictures or to send the item back and they said no need. We already have scotch bonnet coat for my ninth grader, if we needed another id definitely get one from them since they’re so good with customer service.

Rudsak starts at $500, at least double of the other brands here.

My daughter is also in 9th. She has an Alo jacket and lots of her friends have Alo and Pajar, which you can get between 130-200 on sale. Hollister makes shorter jackets that are very warm and more in style than the longer length.

I got my daughter a Sam coat from Bloomingdales. It was in the 400 dollar price range with a coupon. If she wears it for a few years, as mine will iyh, it’s not that crazy.

By us appaman is for younger kids, like preschool, elementary…my high schooler doesn’t want to wear the same coat as her little sister (yes I know scotch bonnet has for those ages also, its a teenage thing)
