I'm looking for a therapy or method that people have found successful to help my 11-year-old son improve his focus.
He is now in 6th grade and gemara is getting more difficult and he is having an extremely hard time focusing. He is a very bright and deep child, but focus is not his strong point.
Does anyone have any ideas on how we can help him?

OT might help but maybe it's time for meds. You can try the health food store. A good ( expensive) neuropsychologist can pinpoint what the problem is.

An OT that does reflex integration can help.

Same with my son, although he's 9, and not quite up to Gemara yet. He's still doing ok with Mishnayos, but sounds very similar to your son.

I'd like to avoid meds if at all possible.

My son is not ADHD. He is extremely chilled, laid back, slow moving, and doesn't enjoy working hard. His only ADHD symptom is difficulty focusing on complex and lengthy topics.

Look into the Feuerstein method, can help with focus and processing.

OT helped my son tremendously.

Worked with the Guttman sisters. www.handsonotrehab.com

You have to be committed to doing exercises every day but bh worth it! He's in the aleph shiur now.
