What I dont like about this name, and with all due respect to Raizy and her journey, there is no need to tear down other women in order to promote yourself.
I feel like she is stereotyping all 'other' women who didnt do the work she did and can now benefit so much from reading how she went from a 'pathetic yenta' (her words) to someone special.

Wow, what awful judgement of another person.
Honestly, reeks of jealousy.
No one is forcing you to like or read the book, but this doesn't give you an excuse for such loshan hora.

I'm certainly not jealous.
I have a lot of respect for her talent, but I still get a certain vibe from her posts and am not the only one. She has many episodes where she references how she's looking for more than the 'average' woman, how she is so out of the box because she's not into only housework like 'other' women. It's the vibe I get.
I would tell this directly to Raizy too. I'm not bashing her, I just think she doesn't realize how her tone comes across.

Still not excuse for such blatant loshan hora. Bashing a person generally comes from jealousy, even if you claim that you're not jealous.
You don't have to agree with her or what she says, but you shouldn't be bashing her in public like this.

So why open a thread about it? To sing her praises only?
I thought this was an interactive conversation, with some differing opinions.

I didn't open the thread.
But all your justification, still doesn't make it okay to talk loshan hora & bash a person.
If the only thing you can add to this thread is loshan hora, rather stay quiet.

How in the world can you come to such a conclusion based on a title and before reading what she wrote?
From what I understand she shares her joureny how she used to be more moody and a yenta etc… something not many are brave enough to do.

I think her sharing her journey and what helped her evolve is only admirable

I'm not basing it on her title, I'm basing it off her description of her title.

I heard it too.
I heard her saying that she believes that we all can be more. I only looked at it positively

I'm not trying to turn anyone against anything. Just conveying how it came across to me.

Hope she is successful in selling her book. It probably took a while from when she started. These things take a lot of time and work. Hatzlacha to her

Maybe it's a new shemiras halashon sefer.
Seriously, there are still Yentls and Yentis and Yentas under the age of 80 out there and I feel bad for them. (Especially if their legal names are Karen.)

I also think it’s a strange choice for a title and probably wouldn’t pick it up unless I was really bored

Idk. Looking at the blurb, I think people may not be quick to spend money on it unless they're part of her base but that people outside her base would be curious enough to read it.

I think the title is creative and not the typical. The whole look of the book is more creative and out of the box then what you would typically find on the frum shelves

I’m not her target audience but I give her a lot of credit for the work she has done and the platform she created.

I think we should praise self build female entrepreneurs in our community no matter their niche instead of pulling them down.

Huh? What does “her base” mean?
Yenta is a very well knows universal word

Amen!
Seems like people can’t handle creativity and out of the box pple here.
And btw from what it looks like her audience is very diverse I see she speaks for many audiences all types of Jews…modern ones … less observant… etc

I googled the book. I read the blurb, I.e. the paragraph or whatever about the book. My impression is, people who are likely to buy it are those who are her base, I.e. who follow her. But other people might read it too if they had access to it.

I guess because I've known women named Yenta personally, I cringe for them when I see it used. But sure, it is used widely. I still feel for them.

Did I clarify things?
