when I'm on bc, its really hard to lose weight. hormonal stuff

when I go off bc, I become pregnant

when I'm pregnant I cant lose weight, obviously

I'm now pregnant 4th time (bh) and weigh 40 lbs more than I did before having kids.
after each baby I stay with another few lbs. as a gift, that I cannot get rid of.

am I destined to just get fatter and fatter all my child-bearing years?

has anyone figured this out? or anyone else feel stuck like me?

Are you actually trying to reduce, or are you just moaning about weight gain but don't have energy or headspace to go about it seriously?

"for life" and "childbearing years" are two different things. You may be fat now but that doesn't doom you for life. (I slimmed down a lot in my 50s, gained a lot during the pandemic, and am finally shedding the excess now.) Once kids are out of the house it gets easier. Which is no reason for you not to try to at least maintain your weight if not lose now. The less you gain, the less you have to lose. I know whereof I speak.

Some ppl I know go back to their pre pregnancy weight first before getting pregnant again so if there’s 5 extra lbs they first lose those then get pregnant. No real crazy diets just eating normal portions no junk etc walking alot

When my babies are about a year old and stop nursing I do a real deal diet for a few weeks, then I continue to watch what I eat so that I don’t immediately gain everything back. That way even if I regain everything at least I’m not piling it up.
Yes, it’s hard. Yes, I’m a bit weak and exhausted some days of the month. I also struggle with hypothyroidism which makes losing weight harder, but I know if I put on 20 lbs per kid (which I do) and never lose it I’ll be 100 lbs overweight after kid #5.

I lose the baby weight by working out seriously 6 days a week

It’s not easy, but it’s definitely possible

Oh gosh I'm in the exact same boat, except I started off obese to begin with, so now I just feel like an ogre with these extra 40 lbs...

And even not being on BC I feel like I can't lost the weight. Nearing 40 and the weight is so in love with me, it just won't go!

If you really want to do it its for sure possible. BC may make it harder to lose, but it doesnt make it impossible. (Ch"v if you were starving in a dessert you'd lose weight even while taking the BC)

Question is how driven you are.
If you work hard, you'll lose. Slowly. But you'll lose.
By work hard I dont mean going on the treadmill. Thats for maintainance

I mean 5-6 times per week, exercise for 45 min-1 hour, with a high intensity fat burning exercise. If youre not panting, aching, and sopping wet with sweat at the end, it wasnt hard enough.
That, and lifting weights routines.
That, and completely cutting out white sugar, eating lots of protein and literally 5-6 vegetables per day, only drink water etc etc.

Worked for me, while on BC, but I had to do this continuously for many months. Didnt see a change until I did it for about 4 weeks straight, but then it steadily came off.
