Did anyone send this year or last year to bya. What's the staff like?
What is it like? Is it jappy? Are the girls good beis yaakov girls? Growth oriented?

It’s supposed to a middle of the road seminary. BY, , academic but not super intense, like less hard than Bjj , BS, BC, Hadar but not by a lot. My colleague described it as a A- level seminary.
I don’t know current info jappy wise but definitely less than Bnos Chava. I was just looking into it for my niece pretty recently.

Bnos Chava isn't the same crowd that it used to be. Typical bais yaakov girls that would go to BYA etc don't apply there anymore.

I have my eye on BYA for my DD (she's in 11th grade) for next year. I like that it's been around for years but has also brought in new people, so it has that healthy blend of experienced chinuch people but not out of touch, from what I hear. It's middle of the road, yeshivish hashkafa but not too extreme and the girls are a nice mix of BY-type. Not too intense academic, I've heard they have some tracking (if my info is accurate) which would be amazing for my bright but not intense DD.

You got it right pretty much
My daughter also came from Bais Kaila and did well in school
Yes they have tracking , and my daughter is glad she’s not in the top
She’s doing what she needs to but doesn’t want extra pressure

A lot of the same girls apply to Nachlas and BYA. Nachlas is a newer nicer building .

Is nachlas more snobby/jappy than bya? I heard the girls are very into brand clothing there.

My niece went to Seminar and applied to both Seminar and BYA. I think they are similar, and I remember when she was deciding which to go to, some of it was about friends, Seminar is maybe a bit more chilled I think.
I think Nachlas is more in-towny, it does have a reputation as being a little bit more jappy.

My daughter applies to Bya, seminar and Nachlas
She has friends in all 3 so they all overlap with type of girls
Seminar became more intense, a bit more yeshivish
Nachlas is definitely more brand name type
My friend’s daughter is there now and having was a hard time adjusting she didn’t go with any friends
I hope by she is happier now
My daughter only got into Bya , glad I didn’t have to make the decision which one to send to in the end..

DD was advised to apply to both BYA and Seminar (meaning that there was a significant overlap).

Seminar is more academic and more yeshivish. But there is overlap.
