Shoes are heavy, and a strange new sensation to get used to for a tiny person.

If they are brand new first walkers then it's normal. Takes a couple of days for them to get used to the shoes.

Shoes should be as barefoot as possible, especially for new walkers. They shouldn't be so hard to walk in

Kids need to be barefoot as much as possible for their arch to develop properly.
Taking off shoes in the house and using only on street is a good idea.
They do get used to it, shoes are heavy and often makes child walk clumsy.
I get shoes for kids only when they walk well already.
No need to run get shoes first second

Depends when they started walking and how new are these shoes? Also how many times did they wear it?

Op did you have your child professionally fitted? First shoes must fit really really well and child should not really be walking funny. The wrong shoe can really ruin a child's walk. Btdt... Please have your child fitted by a professional.

Or not. I did my research and most shoes for sale in the "professional" frum stores are not good for first walkers, or any walkers for that matter. A shoe for a baby needs to have a wide toe box and flexible sole. Not one of the shoes in Schwartz's met those 2 basic criteria. The man in the store told me to continue buying on Amazon .

When did he start walking?
I usually wait 6-8 weeks to get shoes.
Even with that it still takes a few days for them to get used to it.

Really? I got those for my first and they were so stiff. For my second I got softer naturinos and I found them to be more comfy
