Help me find a flattering gown for siblings wedding

I really hate gowns. Last wedding, the photographer called me the pregnant one in front of my whole extended family. I thought I would die. I can't handle that type of humiliation again. Oy I'm blushing right now just from typing it here.

What can I wear that would be somewhat flattering for someone who's a size 2x with a big stomach? Please help me.

Im so sorry the photographer made that comment. It's awful to be shamed in public especially at a Simcha when you just want to be happy.

I don't remember exactly but definitely not less than $500 for the lower priced gowns. And they do alterations there and you pay for your alterations. It adds up quickly.

I have found that a long black beaded jacket works well, with a silky shell and either a black maxi skirt or long sleeveless dress/jumper. Elegant and pretty. You can find great buys on ebay and at online shops like jessica London.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I hope they have a different photographer for this simcha.
What is your price point?
Have you ever tried renting at Bridal elegance in BP? It's been a while since I've been there but I remember them being reasonable and plus size friendly.

Here are some ideas that work for me.
1. Fit and flare. Making the dress have a structure helps me pretend that I do too.
2. Shapewear.
3. A dark dress, and glorious jacket and statement necklace or earrings. Bonus if fun shoes. It draws the eye to all those points and away from your mid-section. Go cheap on the dress, and spend money getting it fitted exactly to your body instead. Ditto for the jacket.
