Is there anything I can do at home to make my sheitel shiny again (like sleek and smooth)?
is there something that could be done in the salon?

There are hair oils that a lot of salons sell. In the winter, I need to use them almost daily. Just a small amount goes a long way.
I don't apply it to the top though. If you are looking for a full change, maybe ask for a deep conditioning treatment. You can always follow up with the oil as needed.
