Is it possible to find a perfect school in every way or will every school have a few things you don’t like but the pros outweigh the cons?
What is more influential- home life or school (barring anything severe like bullying)?

Your kid will most likely be 90% a product of the home and 10% a product of the school. This is a mainstream child.
Kids with learning disabilities are another saga cuz they can have long lasting trauma from their school experience

No school is perfect.
Home life is the most important but of course school has an impact.
If you are lucky enough to have a choice, choose a school that aligns with your core values.

I don’t believe in perfection. I don’t love everything about anything. I’m a pragmatist. I

Disagree
I know people, siblings from the same families, who live vastly different lives because of the schools they went to. I personally am very different than my family because of the school I went to.
Personally I would say that your emotional health and parenting style, for better or worse, is mostly a result of your home. Your hashkafah is very much a product of your education.

My hashkafah was much much more a product of my home than my school. I was raised in a mainstream MO home and went to a more BY school. I never bought what they were selling.

Perfect doesn't exist. A perfect school is actually impossible.

I love most of it. And the little things don’t bother on me a level of omg I’m out of here. Nothing in life is perfect.

I thought flip outs happen in Israel. I thought OP was referring to grades 1-12

I love my kids school Baruch Hashem (they’re all in one school).
I wouldn’t mind slightly healthier school lunch but I’m grateful they provide lunch.
The teachers and admin are all amazing. The school is run very well. The values they impart align with our home values for the most part. The kids all strive to be the best they can for the most part. the school imparts a sense of Jewish pride. They teach in a joyful way. They take care of any issues swiftly and gently, with love.

When it comes to hashkafa I believe that the general rule is that home and school have to be basically aligned. It's hard to determine where exactly a child absorbs most of their hashkafa, that's why most families put their children into schools who share similar values as them.
Obviously no school is perfect, but at least the one we chose matches my family hashkafa .

Sounds like a dream! I’m happy for you
Applying to schools now and every school has a downside that I don’t like

Nothing in life is perfect.
Do you love everything about your husband?
We choose a school that fits each child. BH we have a lot of options. Each of my kids has gone to different schools.

Moshiach hasn't come yet.
The only perfect school is the Yeshiva Shel Maalah.

I've sent my kids to 20 different schools over the years. I've absolutely loved everything about one preschool and one elementary. The other 18 schools are/were not bad, but not hands down amazing either.

And I know people that went to the same school and turned out vastly different... What are you trying to prove?
