Can someone explain to me what all the hype is?
Am I a bad Mom for not buying it?

We found one on sale total for $17. We have perfectly good insulated water bottles at home. (I probably paid around $20 honestly for our insulated water bottles, but we don’t need any more). If I actually needed a water bottle I’d buy for that price. But seriously $30-50?
Why are moms buying this for their kids? Just why?

I've been buying Owala water bottles since before they were trendy! We love them because they have both a straw and a spout for drinking.

Funny not funny dd was complaining that I "only" get her owala she's the ONLY kid in her whole class who has it, ALL the other kids have Stanleys or Lululemons. Nobody ever even heard of owala.

Honestly I buy then because I ADORE their colors and color combinations. Stanleys are just meh.

I think 27.99 that I paid is a TAD overpriced for an insulated water bottle but not crazily so. I like buying a known brand because with off brands I worry about toxic metals.

Are you me?????
I thought $27 was a bargain compared to what else is out there. And honestly it's something used EVERY single day. I don't mind spending that much on such an item
My younger kids have cheaper stainelss steel water bottles from Amazon and they're not as leak proof and it don't stay cold nearly as long

My daughter’s teacher just banned them. She said the hole is much bigger and the girls keep spilling and making huge soaking messes

Same. I have owala bottles over 3 years old. For something I use every day constantly, as a nursing, pregnant, and busy mom I don't mind spending that amount of money at all.

I find the spout so ergonomic and enjoyable to use, and we don't have any mold issues like with most other straw bottles I've tried. We even have ones just for Pesach!

I also got it for my girls before it became trendy. I tried a few other brands that eventually cracked, leaked, chipped, or didn't keep the water as cold for as long. So happy with Owala.

How old is your daughter? I can't imagine this being an issue for most girls older than 7/8 years old

This is ridiculous. The hole is no bigger than a traditional plastic water bottle. Im assuming the teacher banned it since it's a fad. Which is unfair for the parents who already spent money on it. Especially those, like me, who bought before it was "in"
