My girls have all had pierced ears for at least a couple of years. So far I’ve just kept the earrings in all the time, occasionally cleaning the ears as needed or putting some petroleum on if they look dry. I was wondering if it’s healthier to take the earrings out each night. What do most people do? Do you take out your girls’ earrings each night or generally leave them in all the time?

I leave them in. If I took them out, I'd never remember to put them back.

I made sure to buy gold earrings for DD and they were always in until she got older.

Leave them in. The less you touch them the less likely you are to have injuries or infections. Or lose them and have the holes close.

If earrings are a tight fit you may leave them. But if it's hoops or dangling please remove them. If they get tangled they may stretch the hole which ones doesn't want.
