I wrote the latest post about the tetanus shot.
We have decided to give it, but my question is ( and I can't find a satisfactory answer online...)
How many doses?
I am not going to ask my doctor, because he is required to give me the answer from the ministry of health. He cannot give me a true opinion.
I want to give as few doses as possible while still getting effective immunity.( for tetanus)
I've read studies from India, China, where they measured antibody titers aft 2, 3, 4 vaccines.
But all those vaccinated were started off as infants.
And the recommended schedule seems to be to give 6 doses. That really seems excessive to me.
My child is already two, and I wonder if immune response would be stronger than in an infant, therefore requiring fewer vaccines.
But I'm having such trouble finding any data on delayed vaccine schedule, or on titer results where vaccines were begun at a later age, not infant.
I'm open to any discussion, opinion, what you do, or links to anything.
I will weigh all the info before making a decision, and truly appreciate all of you who graciously give of your time to write a response.
Thank you!

When a toddler gets the vaccine, the body gets a more stronger immune response to it as opposed to a baby. When a child gets the vaccine, the body gets a more stronger immune response to it as opposed to a toddler.
I start at a delayed schedule so I give much less vaccines.

I think the problem with this one is that immunity wears off regardless of how many boosters you get.

I found my own answer, but will post it here in case it's helpful to anyone seeking the same info.
For tetanus vaccine starting after the age of 12 months,
3 doses.
wait at least 4 weeks between first and second dose
wait at least 6 months between second and third dose.
According to guidelines by WHO
link to document for regular and delayed schedule for all other vaccines.
